GUIDELINES FOR e-MENTORS
e-Mentor Volunteers: If you would like to share your science and/or engineering expertise with interested students, then being an e-mentor is a great way for you to get involved. You can directly increase the student's project quality while providing inspiration to tomorrow’s professionals.
Procedure for being an e-Mentor:
Step 1: Fill out the e-Mentor Application describing your background and interests.
Step 2: E-mail the information back to our e-Mentor Program Coordinator with e-MENTOR APPLICATION in the subject line to firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 3: Once approved, basic interest and expertise areas will be posted on our website and will be available for students to review.
Step 4: The mentor committee will forward the students’ research plan to the appropriate e-mentor via email. The e-mentor will contact the student mentee and cc the parent/guardian via email to begin e-mentoring the project.
Step 5: As an e-mentor, you will communicate, provide support and guidance to the student mentee, and help answer their questions.
