WHAT'S NEXT FOR ACSEF?
Our 2017 mission is to increase S.T.E.M. opportunities for students and teachers through greater participation across Alameda County. We believe to achieve this goal the most appropriate and unsurpassed mechanism is to incorporate Common Core and Next Generation Science standards through ACSEF involvement. We intend to continue forging strong relationships with the Alameda County Office of Education, special programs, our county school districts, elected officials including city councils, supervisors, assembly and congress.
Alameda County represents unique diverse demographics, many who lack the resources or support to participate. Our challenge is to reach these schools and give them equal access and opportunity to participate. In our 4th year, we fully expect to increase student participation to well over 700 students targeting the underserved. To this effort we have increased the number of e-mentors available to answer student questions and help guide all student projects as we say from “Idea to Fair” – we are eager to assist in developing student projects!
Additionally our unique teacher liaison program is designed to help the novice and experienced teachers guide their student research projects. Help is always only an e-mail away. firstname.lastname@example.org Our website is undergoing major revisions – and we are eager to reveal it in late August.
